Nearly twice as deep as the Grand
Canyon and only a third as wide, the Great Bend of the Yangtze ranks as one of the
grandest of the world's canyons. This expedition offers impressive scenery, amazing
rapids, exotic culture and beautiful insect free weather. Our journey begins with a
spectacular one day trek through the unnavigable Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the scenic
wonders of the world and finishes with an incredible 7 day rafting journey through the
Great Bend where we pass beneath 2 mile-high walls, visit ancient stone villages and
paddle giant rapids with towering waves. Fewer than 150 people have ever traveled through
this exotic 10,000 foot deep canyon which was first run by the Chinese in 1986. |
