Dear Eric:
I have to tell you that the Tibet Adventure was one of the most satisfying trips that I
have ever been on. At the heart of the trip, the Tibetan people and their culture was by
far one of the purest experiences I think I have had. These human beings are so far
removed from what I experience on a day-to-day basis, it was as if I had taken a trip to
another planet. There is a kindness there that shines through the Tibetans. To be able to
communicate without the spoken work was an unexpected delight. The surrounding mountains,
sand dunes, and fields of flowers or stars were so awe inspiring, I'm afraid my journal
entries were not sufficient in describing them.
I would highly recommend this trip for the seasoned adventure traveler that is seeking
more than exotic terrain. This trip is an expedition that travels by way of heightened
senses along many paths at once.
Thanks again,

Dear Eric,
Nothing I could have read, no one's stories that I could have heard and no
movie/video/slide show I could have seen, would have prepared me the impact the Upper
Yangtze and Tibet had on my very being. I've been home two weeks now, and I'm still
casting about for ways and words to describe this trip of a lifetime. It was, simply put,
an incredible journey. To have entrée to this fabled land, to walk through the villages
and mingle with the people, to experience the holy magical moments in the monasteries and
to simply revel in the beauty and vastness of the land around me was an experience, and a
privilege, that ranks among the greatest any traveler could wish for. I am grateful for
the thought and effort that Earth River puts into expeditions like this.and just wanted to
say "Thanks."
