Quebec, 8 days, august Five hundred miles north of New York city lies a vast wilderness the size of Alaska. Beginning on New-foundland's Labrador Plateau, the Magpie River flows untouched through hundreds of miles of lake dotted virgin forests of pine and multicolored moss, hurling down steep granite gorges and off spectacular falls before emptying into the St. Lawrence River.
